I'm so disgusted by the Italian politics and by the Italian polity, I cannot resist anymore: I have to talk about K.T again!

OK. This comics' fans stalking for this ever awaited moment and scream for the joy! YAYYY!! WHEEEEE! (I can imagine it, hehehehe!)

K.T IS BACK!

And now it's named:

K.T-2 - The Second Doom

The First has been Dinosaur extinction. Actual Dinosaur is a politic class able to oppress, crush and black-mail the citizens instead manage their goods. This happens in Italy. Other countries have better instruments to control their governments' work.
Anyway not only figurate dinosaurs, even REAL ones! Read further...


THE STORY SO FAR

After the great geological change occurred on whole Earth, known by all as "The Big One", the geographic and geologic settings of the World have been modified.
Scientists thought the great geological changes in the far past happened slowly and gradually. This should have changed their thought.
Everything has begun with Yellowstone's explosion, the most powerful and monstrous volcanic event ever witnessed by the Mankind. Then Iceland's volcanoes followed and a great seismic shock crossed the Atlantic rift til the Europe's entry. Mediterranean basin was "geologically young" and most of its activity was currently quiescent.
This woke up everything.



Note: Yellow triangles in the legend mean "ongoing volcanic activity". Red triangles mean "newborn volcanic activity".

Tyrrhenian rift activity switched on and Italian volcanic system unleashed a Titanic explosive and seismic activity that modified the most of the peninsula's original shape.
A whole sea had been closed and gradually got saltier and less deep til to become a desert, new volcanoes were born in the East European sector, where no volcanic form like that occurred since millennia and new tectonic events modified past rivers and entire lands.



That's not all, folks...

A wicked mad scientific project was ongoing before the great event: creating new OGMs (Genetically Modified Organisms), new lifeforms and bring back to life ancient ones; to accomplish this project experiments on human were accepted.
Such experiments had been banned by International Community as a hideous crime against mankind. But the Big One shook and shuffled anything.
The "critters" (people nickname them so) got away from their well hidden cages and spread in every ecosystems, thwarted previous lifeforms and extablished their domain.
The Critters numbers any kind of strange and fearful beasts: Dinosaurs, Therapsid reptiles (Mammal-like lizards), armoured fishes, Trilobites, Plesiosaurs and Pterosaurs.
It would seem we're on Jurassic Park's set. No, we're not.
Because those wicked scientists made experiments on Human beings too and many kinds of "freaks" come out this hideous project.
It should not be shocking to see somewhere two-headed men or Reptile-like humanoid or squirming bowels-like slithering things hiding in the darkness alike lurkers...
The foolishness of the sleeping minds creates monsters...

About one thousand years after the Big One, every nation's government has passed critical moments. Some passed it and began to build up again their homecountries. Others did not.
Italy is crossing a long crisis and the country is disgusted by a corrupt and vicious polity that as become citizens' number one enemy.



What once was a whole nation, now it's divided in independent states, not always well managed and often victim of local gangland, foreign gangsters and widespread crime.
In this Apocalypse-like context, a group of boys and girls and two mutant ones are fighting to defend weakers' rights against evil gangways' oppression...

Here they come the heroes...

Heroes? It may sound too exaggerate. They're just young boys and girls that dislike crime and would like to get justice and see their rights respected. A young angered against the injustice, the iniquity, the widespread crime, the corruption, the ethic decadence...against the evil. Everyone should be so, but many give up, others aret threatened or scared, others again instead choose that way. Don't think such people does this only for some kind of fierce ferociousness or perversion: it's often (very often) enough some bleak filthy human miseries. Some people is able to sell their parents, sons, wives (or husbands) and relatives as well for a cup of coffee.
Once 30 silvery coins were a big price to betray. Prices have got low very much.
It's heinous. It's mischievous. It's the human nature, or better, it's a big part of the mankind's one.
But it is not the rule. Luckily.

I got lost, who are the heroes?

Beg your pardon, I was digressing!
Right, I talked about a group of "no-more-teenagers" (around twenty-years or little more) boys and girls. They have no fixed home. They're not nomads nor homeless. They simply wander across their country, the Italy. Their job is working for people who ask their protection. People is often victim of blackmailers and gangsters and these guys contrast this scum. It's their job: some calls them "Fortune Cavaliers".
The main characters are:

Spike



The Group leader. He always wears a red-black chess shirt, nailed collar and armbands, soldier-like trousers and a strong spiky glove to face wild predators and ferocious foe. He comes from Rome, but he left his city after its bane and began working as Fortune Cavalier. During his job he met fair and brave friends which he formed the "Fellowship".

Lilja



She comes from a good middle-class family. She had been kidnapped by a East European Gang which meant to direct her to sex-slavery (or surgery black market if needed). Her family engaged Spike's group to find her and the group did it.
But the Gang's boss let his thugs slay almost the whole family of hers.
Spike and his fellows routed each one of the villains and avenged Lilja's awful loss.
Thus she joint Spike's group and follows it until she'll reach Northern Italy where the rest of her family lives.
Moreover she owns incredible ESP skills and she's thought to own clairvoyance too.
Many mischievous criminals would like to get her.

David "O' Tarallo"



A real chum, also known as "Tarallo" (i.e "funny dude"). David is a nice and jovial Southern boy, even if he comes from Campobasso, Molise. He's been the first to join and form Spike's group. He's kinda canny with boxing and tai-chi and he knows an ancient craft: fire and powder working. He's able to recognize and understand any kind of soil, understand its state and conditions. He once saved a whole town from a volcanic-cinder flood thanks to his knowledge. He's able to prepare fire-working powders by those soils and even snare-working mixtures to stun and puzzle enemies.

Flavius



Spike's vice. So does he come from Rome like Spike and so did he leave his city and work as Fortune Cavalier. He's swifty and able with guns and wheapons.
He always wears a cap, sporty shirt and leathery trousers.
His long blond hairs and cared beard make him look like somewhat a "Lord of Rings'" character.

Geko



He is a mutant boy, even if the term "mutant" is not correct. He's one of those hideous experiments' son. He is a so called "Homo-Troodon" chimaera, an hybrid creature between human species and the dinosaur Troodon. Some scientists inferred if Troodon had survived, he could have provolved into a so called "Saurosapiens". Well, Geko is something like that.
He likes to bear a punk-like comb and wear as a punk, but he dislikes crime as well as Spike and friends. Indeed he joint the group. He's humorous and sarcastic too.
His favorite weapon is a set of stunning boomerangs he's able to manage as a swifty as a "puppetmaster". They don't kill, but they surely hurt. Hurt bad the baddies....

Asia



She is a Dino-Man chimaera alike Geko, but she looks more human-like. She lived in Ciociaria but she left her land after a dire accident occurred there but resolved by Spike's group. So does she have a step-family in Northern Italy, so she follows the group for the same Lilja's reason. She's cute and kind and she's able to cook very well, yum!

Diana



She does not belong to Spike's group but she often does join ventures with it to contrast especially ganglands. She's part of the Anti-Mafia Squad that's operating in Southern Italy to overthrow the widespread Mafia patrolling the whole territory.
She has always a long black ponytail and dress dark clothes. Many thinks she's a goth girl to approach. Don't get her too close, she's Kung-Fu master and a Black Belt. Ouch!!

Other Good Characters

Klaus



He's an independent and lone stranger coming from nowhere (nowhere we know) even if his name could suggest North-Italian origin (it does not instead). He often accepts engages as he were a Fortune Cavalier but he's something different: he is a so called Wind hunter, a man who's got the knowledge of climatic, weather and meteoric conditions related to the wind.
He use to live in something like a manor in the middle of the Appennines, around the Mt. Gran Sasso, together two strange scientists with incredible knowledges of geology, physics and biology.
He meets Spike's team in Emilia-Romagna and will follow them til the Umbria region.
So does he dislike the corruption and the crime and fights against them.

Tamara



Spike's group will meet this fighting girl during a brawl with Camorra thugs in Salento. She's Diana's friend and cooperates with Anti-Mafia Squad. Her wheapons are many kinds of blades and whips. Secret wheapons is her blood. Yes, she's one of the hideous project's daughter: her blood is poisonous.


Proteus



This guy cooperates with Anti-Mafia squad and he was once a "chamaeleon actor" (an actor able to change outfits and masks very quickly and to look like anyone he can), i.e a shapeshifter. He's nicknamed himself after the shapeshifter ancient Greek god Proteus.
His help is very useful in secret missions to discover gangland's traffics.


Villains

Don Mariano L'Immortale



He is one of the most fearful mafia-clan-bosses of Southern Italy. Every criminal affirms it's impossible to slay him, he cannot die. Others instead reply he never gets old and his wounds are healed quickly.
A strange mutation has occurred in his hypothalamus-hypophysis which produce continuously a substance alike melatonin that stops the ageing effect and fastens healing process.
He has founded the so called "La Compagnia dell'Artiglio" ("The Claw's Clan"), composed by wicked evil freaks and mutant being on duty for Mafia and Camorra's clans.


Madame Medusa



She's the first member of the Claw's Clan and has got terrific ESP skills.
She once belonged to a filthy gross rich men of Garda Lake that has bought her from the family of hers as sexual slave. She's been freed by Don Mariano and taken as his step-niece or something like.
She's able to force others' muscles and nerves as she were a puppetmaster. Lilja can contrast her partially but Medusa has got a very special psychic weapon against her...

Sfrido



Claw Clan's slayer. Some infer he's not grown up in a human family, but in a Velociraptors' herd and got as fierce as a creeper. Instead he's grown up in a sullen family: the father was a menacing previous offender. Together they robbered banks and raped girls when he was only 15, until his filthy father's been killed during a crossfire with police.
When he was 17, he's been locked in reformatory where he got wicker and wicker and become somewhat a herd leader of a youngsters' gang.
After he escaped from the approved school, he slain all his fellows and joint to Don Mariano's clan, getting cannier and swiftier with blades.
Her mother was the only honest person in the family and she's awe of her heinous son's return.
He has got a step-brother too, a Troodon-chimaera boy sold by a pharmaceutic company to his stepfather bought as in vivo social experiment. He suceeded to get away his family and he's waiting for revenge...

Pizzini La Falce



Ex-Camorra boss of Campania, he's become Don Mariano's hitman after the bane of his.
Don Mariano's hitmen cutted his upper limbs off as cruel Mafia warning. Don Mariano meant to save his life on condition that he'd worked for him only. Pizzini accepted.
The boss let him install mechanical prosthesis with blades too.
Pizzini was once known by the Camorra as "La Falce" ("the sickles") because he let slay anyone opposed him and always with butcher sidearms.
Actually he really owns dreadful sickles.

Minugia



A Hideous Project's son. He's been named after a peculiar old word found in Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy, meaning "bowels".
This creeping being looks like the Lord of Rings' character Gollum but if Gollum used to eat fishes' head, this critter prefers human flesh instead, especially tender fleshes and soft bowels. Here why such a disgusting name.

"Killerthal"



Another Hideous Project's son. He's been created by Maestro Antenore after King Caio's request of a dire killer. He brought back to life the extinct species of human being, the Homo Neanderthalensis, modified its brain regions to enhance fierce instincts.
He's not able to speak, only to growl and slay. His weapon is a big bonecracker axe.

Maestro Antenor



He's one of the few Wicked Scientists that promoted the Hideous Project in the Old Era.
He genetically modified himself enhancing his neural settings and his brains itself until his organ grew up hypertrophically. Others organs shrinkened and his brain got bigger and fused with the skull. He lives in symbiosis with an OGM alga underneath his skin which produces proteins and carbohydrates to survive without external feeding.
Psychic skills have been fearfully enhanced and he's able to control human minds and fleshes.
His hideous experiments are still ongoing in his hidden lab.

King Caio



Once he was a simple criminal in Sicily. He got such a power as he got old, that he's been able to subdue the whole region and isolate it from Italian peninsula, til to become an independent region, the "New Sicily Kingdom".
He proclaimed himself "King of Sicily", even if the management is given to his thug managers. He's awed by everybody and his criminal power is terrible.
